Founder-built, founder-run.
Starla Jewels wasn’t put together in a boardroom. It was built the way our partners will build theirs — one store, one customer, one hard decision at a time. When you join the programme, you deal directly with the people who did that building.
Rekha Somavarapu
Founder
Rekha founded Starla Jewels in 2022/23 with a conviction that certified lab-grown diamonds would reshape fine jewellery in India — and proved it the hard way: selling first, without a store, building the collection and the first customers before opening a single door. The Jubilee Hills flagship followed in March 2024, and the larger Gachibowli store in October 2025. Along the way she insisted the company build its own retail technology rather than rent it — the decision that turned two good stores into a system other owners can run.
Candidates meet the founders in person at the Founders’ Meet stage of the partner journey, including an immersion day inside a working Starla store.
Times Power Women 2025 (Telangana)
Founder Rekha Somavarapu was recognised by The Times of India / Times Internet for her work building Starla Jewels in the lab-grown diamond category.
Best Speciality Store 2025
Starla Jewels won Best Speciality Store at the GKW Retail Solutions × VM-RD Retail Design Awards 2025, held in Mumbai — recognition for the retail experience itself.
The ambition is stated plainly: build the most technology-enabled lab-grown diamond retail network — starting with a small number of carefully selected partners across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, each opened properly before the next. Selection over volume is not a tagline; it is how the ten-stage journey is built.
